Unlike semi-automatic production, the NTPFD-250T automates the entire process: it takes two rolls of paper (one for the bag, one for the handle patch) and paper rope, forms the twisted handle, pastes it onto the paper web, and then forms the square bottom bag—all in a single pass. With a mechanical speed of up to 150 bags per minute, it offers massive productivity for industrial bag manufacturers.

The NTPFD-250T has a handle forming unit that takes pre-twisted paper rope and patch paper rolls to create the handle loop. However, you need to buy the paper rope rolls or buy a separate Paper Rope Rewinding Machine to make the rope from paper strips. We can supply the full line.

For bags with twisted handles, we recommend paper thickness between 80gsm and 150gsm. If the paper is too thin (e.g., 50gsm), it may not support the weight of the handle and the products inside. For bags without handles, you can run down to 50gsm.

Yes. The handle pasting unit can be bypassed. This allows you to use the NTPFD-250T as a standard Square Bottom Paper Bag Machine to produce simple food bags (SOS bags) when you don't have orders for shopping bags.

The machine typically uses a combination system. Hot Melt Glue is used for fixing the handle patch and side sealing (for fast adhesion), while Water-based Cold Glue is often used for the bag bottom. We recommend the Nordson (USA) or Robatech (Swiss) hot melt systems for best performance.
